Devlog Update 13-Jan-2021


Dokan here, with the weekly update on the Project of Succubus Crest.

I hope this message finds you all well.

The past week I’ve been mostly working on trying out things with animations, and applying some bug fixes on the version 0.0.2c, I will apply those soon on the Patreon version too and add some more fixes that have been reported lately.

(Small things like getting another one of the existing scenes voiced, and some small bugs that happen in specific scenarios. For more details on the change logs)

Regarding the new version, I am almost finished with writing the plot, and applying the mechanics I want this version to include. (I’ve been trying a few new features that won’t make it in the next version probably. We will see depending on how much the art proceeds, it's what delay us on every version after all).

As soon as the story – quests – script is finalized completely, I will proceed with implementing them, then we will do some beta testing and then we will release the next version. It’s still too soon to get an estimate, why? Well. This is an early phase, also I will be honest with you guys. I am not the type of person to just throw a repeating mechanic, I want to give you something fresh! When you are creating a new mechanic every time such as a puzzle there’s always a new challenge to make it work as you have in mind. I am looking always for new ideas for smart challenges. Based on what I have in mind, this version will have more puzzles than usually.

I am currently writing this post from my laptop, I am on my way to Turkey this time, hey it’s my birthday too, so happy birthday me!
